| Directions: There are two possibilities for travelling from Puerto Vallarta to Yelapa. The first possibility is to take a ponga (boat) ride straight from Puerto Vallarta to Yelapa. There is only the one boat departure from Puerto Vallarta at 11:30 am. Board "Gueda" from beside Hotel Rosita, the oldest hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The other possibility is to take a 30 minute bus, or taxi ride from Puerto Vallarta to La Boca De Tomatlan; and then take a 30 minute ponga (boat) ride from La Boca De Tomatlan to Yelapa. Buses run every 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta. Board the bus just down the street from the bus station on Olas Altas. There are daily boat deparatures from La Boca De Tomatlan about every hour, starting in the morning, at 10:30 am, and continuing until 5:30 pm. Please view the chart on the left for some boat departure times. Synopsis of Directions: Take a 30 minute bus ride southwest of Puerto Vallarta to La Boca de Tomatlan. Take a 30 minute ponga (boat) ride west of La Boca De Tomatlan to Yelapa. Get out on the dock at the "Playita" (little beach) and walk down the path. If you make reservations, a convenient time can be arranged for Angus to meet you at the dock. If not, stop at the large house on the corner of the path, right after the walkway goes under the pilings. Ask Lupe for directions to Angus' and Cedro's house. Casa Cedro is a 15 minute hike or donkey ride above the Yelapa village.
